Following the decision from the IMF, World Bank and local authorities, to continue to hold the IMF & World Bank Annual Meetings in Morocco, the 'United Arab Emirates Evening Reception', hosted by the Financial Times, will go ahead as planned in Marrakech. We are working closely with the IMF/ World Bank organisers and our suppliers on the ground to ensure the safety of our delegates and to handle all arrangements appropriately. The devastating earthquake on September 8 remains at the forefront of our minds and we wish to extend our deepest sympathies to all those who have been affected.

Networking with over 200 regional and international decision makers

The Financial Times and The Banker, in partnership with the Ministry of Finance & Central Bank United Arab Emirates, was delighted to host the United Arab Emirates Reception during this year’s IMF & World Bank Annual Meetings in Marrakech which took place on 14 October.

This evening reception brought together senior delegates from government and private sectors, senior decision makers in financial and banking institutions, who attended the IMF & World Bank Annual Meetings 2023 in Marrakech, for a 2 hour networking reception. This event presented guests with an opportunity to meet regional and international decision makers to hear about the latest developments in both UAE and the wider region.
